Installing and Configuring the Database

Install the database and complete the preliminary configuration before installing the Environment. Create databases to hold GEN, LOGAN, and applications data using tools provided by the database vendor.

Make the following decisions. Will you:

• Use single or multiple filegroups?

• Define the filegroups yourself, or let Microsoft SQL Server define them?

• Separate data and indexes?
