To connect with Scripted data source

  1. In the Outline panel, right-click on the Data Sources sub-node and select New Data Source.
  2. Select Scripted Data Source from the data source type list.
  3. Update the Data Source Name field and click Finish.
  4. To preview the template in LSR Designer, add the <scripted datasource>.jar file manually in the LSR plugins directory.

  5. The <scripted datasource>.jar file must be added in the designer classpath.
    1. From the main menu, click Window > Preferences.

      Preferences window opens.

    2. Click on Report Design from the side menu, and select Classpath.
    3. Click on Add External JARs.
    4. In the JAR Selection window, locate the *.jar file, and then click Open.

      Return to Preferences window, and click OK.
