Editing the date format in Report Parameter

The LSR Designer allows the user to edit the existing date format of the report template. The option to edit the locale settings becomes available when you preview the report template in LSR Designer.

To edit the date format:

  1. In LSR Designer, select Preview > View Report and your desired preview format.

    The Parameter window displays your report parameter options.

  2. Specify the company logo path.
  3. Select the date format from the drop down list, and then click OK.

    Available formats in the list:

    • MM/dd/yy

    • dd/MM/yy

    • yy/MM/dd

    • MM-dd-yy

    • dd-MM-yy

    • yy-MM-dd

The change in date format only applies in LSR Designer preview. When you save the report template back in the server, the locale settings in the server is applied.

The table shows the date format behavior when previewing a report from predefined and non-predefined templates:

Type of template Format description
Predefined

The footer date format displays the format based on XML data source connection.

The data date format follows the desired locale report parameter.
Non-predefined The footer and data date formats follow the desired locale parameter.
