To connect with a flat file data source

  1. In the Outline panel, right-click on the Data Sources sub-node and select New Data Source.
  2. Select Flat File Data Source from the data source type list.
  3. Update the Data Source Name field, and then click Next.

    Define Folder or a File URI window is displayed.

  4. Browse for the location of the flat file data source, or enter the flat file URI.
  5. Select the encoding or charset of the flat file.
  6. Select a flat file style (Example: CSV), and then click Finish.
    Note: More options are available for columns and lines, which allows user to indicate the column name, data type or trail null columns.
