Mass-Creating Identities and Importing them to the Lawson Repository

This topic describes how to create an XML file template for identities, populate it with identities and then import the file into Resource Management. You might use this procedure when you have a group of existing users who need identities on a new service or agent. An RMID must already exist for a user before you can import an identity for a user.

The process for doing this involves the following basic procedures:

• Run the ssoconfig utility to create an XML template for the service you want to populate. (The service must already exist and you must know the name of it. The person who runs ssoconfig must be an administrator and must know the password for running the utility.)

• Populate the identity file. Do this by editing the XML file, either manually or through a tool that you are familiar with. (The person who performs this procedure must be familiar with XML.)

• Run ssoconfig again to import the XML file into Resource Management.
