Assigning Security Classes to Roles

When you assign classes to roles, you are linking classes (and the rules contained within the classes) to a type of user. Roles are, in turn, assigned to individual users.

Roles must already exist in order for them to be assigned to users. (Creating roles is a task that is performed with the Resource Management Administrator.

Assigning security classes to roles is simple. From the Security Administrator Class Assignment menu, select the role and then click to assign classes to it.
