Lawson Interface Desktop (LID) User Requirements

This section applies to customers who are running LID while using Lawson Security.

Users who are secured through Lawson Security (CheckLS attribute = Yes) can use LID only to run Environment utilities and the command line, not applications.

Access to Environment utilities is secured through Lawson Security, but LID itself is available to any user who has access to a desktop machine on which it is installed. Because LID gives command line access, your administration procedures should ensure that only users who need LID can access it.
