Do You Need to Secure Security?
In general, deciding whether or not you will secure your security system is an important decision that is typically made early in the process of configuring Lawson Security in conjunction with your Lawson consultants. however, you can make changes to your security setup at any time.
As-delivered, Lawson Security provides full access to every part of the system to a delivered user, lsadmin, and to a delivered role (SuperAdminRole).
For some installations, this might be sufficient. If you need additional administrators and you wanted them all to have the same access rights, you could simply assign the SuperAdminRole to additional users.
Other installations might prefer to have levels of security administrators. For example, you might want to have an administrator who only adds new users to the system. This user could not create rules or roles or perform any other functions related to Lawson Security. You might want to have an administrator who could write rules but who could not create profiles. Step-by-step instructions for creating these two types of administrators are in the document Implementing Lawson Security.
