When to use this utility
Objects that you can delete through lsdelete can also be deleted using the Lawson Security Administrator interface to delete these objects. Typically, you would use the Security Administrator to delete objects that you no longer need. However, if you need to perform a system cleanup, particularly of a test environment. it might be faster to use lsdelete.
The lsdelete utility is powerful! Parameters are optional but, if you forget to include one, you could risk deleting every object of a specific type. For example, if you want to delete a specific profile but you do not specify the profile ID in the command, all profiles will be deleted.
For this reason, it is a good idea to create a dump file of the data to be deleted and review it before you run lsdelete.
