Back up your existing Lawson Portal installation

As a best practice, make a backup of your existing Lawson Portal before you install the new version. This section defines the files that should be backed up.

Note: If in the future, you decide you want to restore from backup, you must have performed this procedure.

  1. In %LAWDIR%\persistdata\lawson, back up the \portal directory.

  2. In %LAWDIR%\system, back up the GlobalPerms file.

  3. In %WEBDIR%\lawson, back up the \portal directory.

  4. If you need to restore from a backup, follow instructions in Restoring a Previous CU.
