Form objects
Objects is the UI Designer term for elements that can be added to or modified in a form.
Types of form objects
Some form objects have similar purposes and similar properties and can be organized in categories for ease of explanation. This chapter breaks the form objects into these categories:
-
User input objects: Buttons, radio buttons, checkboxes, textboxes, and listboxes are intended for letting users make selections or type data on forms.
-
Design objects: Objects that affect the visual appeal and design of the form, but do not add or modify data in the database are in this category. These include the objects label, rectangle, and image.
-
Special form objects: Other important objects that are specific to a Lawson form are in this group. These include tab area, detail area, and browser.
