nodedef

Define a node for a cluster, then assign it to the network that uses it.

On the Cluster Node Definition form, specify or select the following data. Then Press OK twice to save the cluster node definition.

Field Description
Name A short descriptive name for the cluster node you want to define, normally the host name.
Host Address The host name; or the IP address of the remote machine.
Host Name

The actual name of your network host machine.

Typically, if the host name is small enough, the name and the host name are the same.

At the command line, specify this information to view the host name:

hostname

uname -n

Machine Type The brand of machine you use.
%GENDIR% The name of the directory where your Lawson Environment objects are stored.
%LAWDIR% The name of the directory where your Lawson applications, configuration files and spooled print output are stored.
%LAWIPC% This field does not apply to Windows.
