File types and navigating operations in Infor Lawson Editor

Depending on the kind of file to edit, you should use lx (Lawson Editor) or led (4GL Editor). You can open Infor Lawson Editor from the Environment menu, from the Program Definition form, or from the platform command line.

Use the Infor Lawson Editor (lx) to open a variety of files, such as text or configuration files (.cfg).

See Accessing the Infor Lawson Editor.

Use the 4GL Editor (led) to edit Lawson 4GL code, similar to COBOL, which was generated by the Application Development Workbench tools.

See Access the 4GL Editor.
