Validating an existing user in Username Lookup

Username lookup is a tool that is used to validate existing users. On Windows, if you have the supported LSF version, you can perform a bi-directional search using either the username in domain/user format or the NT ID, for example, N000000004. In the search results, both the NT ID and username are displayed. If you do not have the supported LSF version, you can only search using the NT ID and will display the username. For Unix, you can search using the username.

  1. On the Lawson Portal Administration home page, select LSF Administration Tools > Username Lookup.
  2. On the Username Lookup tool, specify either the username or the NT ID in the search box.

    On Unix, specify the username in domain/user fomat.

  3. Click Search.
