Building a Migration List

The Build Migration List tool enables the administrator to generate a list of upgrade commands to make migrating of custom content easier.

To access Build Migration List, click Custom Content Tools from the Administration home page. The Custom Content Tools window displays a subsection of migration tools.

When you click Build Migration List from the Custom Content Tools window, these tool components are shown:

Component	Description
Use Windows path conventions	When the check box option is selected, UNIX slash (/) between directories flips into a Windows slash (\).
From location	This field must contain the old Infor Lawson directory.
To location	This field must contain the new Infor Lawson directory where you copy all custom content.
Build List	This option administers building of commands. When you click Build List, the console window is populated with upgrade commands that include the cp and mkdir commands. A migration_list.txt file containing all of the commands is also created in the lawson/portal/utility directory.
