Roles and Role Manager
In Lawson Portal, a role is a set of attributes that specifies access for users who have been assigned the role. For example, you might have a group of power users at your site who are required to manage their batch jobs through Job Scheduler. Most other users do not require access to Job Scheduler. You could create a role that provides access to Job Scheduler and assign it to the users who need it.
To assign a custom role to a user, you (or a Resource Management administrator) must configure the Role attribute for the user entry with the name of the role file.
