Locking Bookmarks

Locking a bookmark means:

  • Assigning a layout lock to prevent users from removing the bookmark from their workspaces

  • Assigning a subscription lock to prevent users from unsubscribing to a bookmark (but they could remove it from their workspaces)

  1. Locking is done through Role Manager. If you have multiple roles at your site, you can choose to lock bookmarks for some roles and not others.

    From the Role Manager, double-click the user role to update, and then click on Locks tab.

  2. Click the lock checkboxes in either the Subscription Lock or Layout Lock columns to either lock or unlock. An open lock check box indicates that the bookmark is not locked; a closed lock indicates that the bookmark is locked. Click OK.
