Typing Help Text Translations
This procedure allows you to type Help text translations. For more information, see the section Help Text
To type Help text translations

On the Help Translation form, select the item for
which to define Help text translations. Translating Help Text
The Help Text Translation form appears. The upper part of the form shows the selected Help object and either the default Help text for a language, or a translated language, if you are translating a dialect under a previously translated language. The lower part of the form is blank.
- Press Enter or translate Xlate (F6) to move the cursor to the lower part of the form.

Type a translation. You can only cut and paste text one line
at a time.

To edit the Help text in either window, press Edit (F7).
See the following table of Help Text Translation Edit Options:
Choose To Upper Window Edit the Lawson Help text displayed in the upper window. This menu option appears when you are in the lower window. Lower Window Edit the translation Help text displayed in the lower window. This menu option appears when you are in the upper window. Unlink Windows Perform paging and scrolling functions in the active window only. This menu option appears when the windows are in linked mode. Link Windows Perform paging and scrolling functions in both windows simultaneously. This menu option appears when the windows are in unlinked mode. Word Wrap Insert text so it wraps around to the next line with text. For details, see Getting Started with the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID). -
Press Enter twice
to save the Help text translation.
The system highlights the object for which you were defining Help text translations.
- To translate Help text for a new Help object, press Show (F7) and select the object you want to translate Help text for.
- Type the required field information for the new Help object, and then repeat steps 2 through 4.
- Press Esc to return to the Help Translation form.
