Application Phrases

Application phrases are the descriptive text on an application form. They include:

  • Field labels

  • Column headers if the text appears on a single line

  • Form tab labels

  • Bookmark phrases

  • Command button labels

  • Labels for groups of fields

In the illustration, Activity Group, Base Currency, Calendar, Date Range, and so on are field labels. Process, Budget, Time/Exposure and so on are tab labels. Activity, AddInfo, and Status are button labels.
