Value Lists

A value list is a list of valid values displayed in a Select dialog box, such as "Yes" and "No" or "Male" and "Female." Each item in a value list actually has two parts: a value, which is often all that is displayed on a form; and the value translation, which is a description of the value. For example, in the case of the Male/Female value list, the values are "M" and "F" and the value translations are "Male" and "Female." When you provide translations for value lists, you can translate both the values and the value translations or descriptions.
