Editing Infor Lawson Environment variables for a cluster environment

When your Infor Lawson Environment is in a cluster configuration - that is, a group of two independent systems, each called a node, working together as a single system - the steps to edit environment variables are different because you must make the same changes to all nodes.

Before you attempt to edit the Infor Lawson Environment variables for a cluster, you must have already set up your Infor Lawson Environment in a cluster.

To set laconfig Environment Settings for a Cluster Environment

  1. Open the Cluster Administration application.
  2. Take the Infor Lawson group offline.
  3. Remove the Infor Lawson Environment Service from the Infor Lawson group.
  4. Bring the disk(s) online.
Note: This procedure assumes that you have two nodes. Node 1 is the node that owns the disk(s).
  5. Change settings, as needed, in Node 1.
    1. Access laconfig.
    2. Change settings.
Note: If you change the location of any of the directories, make sure that you copy the directories to the new location.
    3. Exit laconfig.
  6. Change the same settings in Node 2 that you changed in Node 1.
    1. Log in to Node 2.
    2. Move the Infor Lawson group to Node 2.
    3. Access laconfig.
    4. Change settings exactly as for Node 1.
    5. Exit laconfig.
  7. Open the Cluster Administration application.
  8. Add the Infor Lawson Environment Service back into the Infor Lawson group.
  9. Bring the Infor Lawson group online.
  10. Test the operation of Node 2.
  11. Move the Infor Lawson group back to Node 1.
  12. Test the operation of Node 1.
