Running the Transaction Monitor (tmmon)

Use the Transaction Monitor Utility (tmmon) to obtain system performance and usage information.

Before you run the Transaction Monitor, the USELATM parameter in the latm.cfg must be set to ON. See latm.cfg parameters reference.

To run the Transaction Monitor utility

  1. Access the Transaction Monitor utility (tmmon):

From the command line, specify this information:

    tmmon

  2. The Transaction Monitor form contains two regions or areas, the Lapm Processes region and the Lacobrts Processes region.
  3. Check the Lapm Processes region for information about each active lapm process, including the program, process ID, average wait time, number of transactions sent, and state of the process.
  4. Check the Lacobrts Processes region for information about each active Lawson Runtime System process, including the program, process ID, number of transactions processed, and state of the process. However, you cannot determine the user's login because all Lawson Runtime System processes are opened by the lawson login.
  5. If you need to move back and forth between the regions, press Shift+ or Shift+. The text for the active region is highlighted.
