Defining an Environment Form ID

The Environment Form IDs feature lets you change selected parameters for Environment programs.

You can change the form ID title, the program type, and selected command parameters for each Environment form ID.

To define an Environment form ID

  1. Access the Form ID Definition utility (tokendef):

    • From the System Administration menu, select Form Definition.

      - or -

    • At the command line, specify this information:

      tokendef

  2. On the Form ID Definition menu, select Environment Form IDs.
    Note: To find a specific Environment form ID quickly, in the header area of the Environment Form ID form, press Find (F2), specify the form ID, and press Enter. The system displays the category containing that form ID.
  3. Define the Environment form ID using the following fields.
    Field Description
    Category

    The name of the category of Environment form IDs.

    Categories allow you to group Environment form IDs.

    You can either select an existing category or specify the name of a new category you would like to create.
    Description Short description of the category.
    Form ID

    The form ID name. Form ID names must be unique across categories.

    Lawson pre-populates Environment form IDs. The system does let you add form IDs on the Environment Form ID form. You should add user-developed programs on the User Form ID form. For more information, see Defining a User Form ID.
    Title The title for the Environment form ID.
    Type

    The kind of program the form ID represents. Available options are Batch and Online.

    This field lets you tailor form IDs to the way your company uses them. For example, if you change jqdef to a Batch type, the system does not display the form online.
  4. Define a command for the Environment form ID.

  5. Press Enter twice to save the definition.
