Using the Windows Performance Monitor with Lawson

Lawson integrates with the Windows Performance Monitor so that you can use the Performance Monitor to watch the performance aspects of the Lawson system, to help tune the Lawson system, and help diagnose problems.

Lawson provides the following performance counters for use within the Performance Monitor:

  • Count of Lawson processes

  • Transactions per second

  • Shared memory usage

  • Count of queued messages

  • Count of logged error events

  • Count of jobs running

  • Count of jobs waiting

  • Count of jobs timed out

  • Count of aborted transactions

  • Count of database users

To use these performance counters, access the Performance Monitor for your Windows server. You can then add selected counters available for Lawson to the System Monitor, or you can send the counter information to log files. For more information about adding counters and sending information to log files, see the online help for the Performance Monitor.
