Setting the %NETEXPRESSPATH% and %PATH% Variables

As part of the installation and setup of a Lawson Environment on each machine in the network cluster, the %NETEXPRESSPATH% variable should be set to the location of the Net Express Cobol compiler software, and the %NETEXPRESSPATH% variable should be included in the definition of the %PATH% variable. If the %NETEXPRESSPATH% and %PATH% variables are not set correcly on every machine in the network cluster, use this procedure. You must perform this procedure on every machine in the network cluster.

To add %NETEXPRESSPATH% to the PATH variable

  1. Access the Lawson Configuration utility (laconfig).
  2. Select the Environment and then select Configure.
  3. Edit the NetExpressPath field on the Environment tab so that it points to the location of the Net Express software. For example: C:\MicroFocus\NetExpress4.0\base\bin.
Note: The Net Express path must not contain spaces.
  4. Edit the PATH field on the Environment tab so that it includes %NETEXPRESSPATH%.
  5. Select Apply.
  6. Repeat this procedure on each machine in the network cluster.
