The Lawson Batch Server

The Lawson Batch Server (lajs) manages all batch programs. When lajs starts, it reads the lajs.cfg file for parameter information.

When you stop lajs, it terminates in a controlled manner. No submitted jobs are released from Waiting status, and an active job step continues to completion. Completion messages for the active job step are sent after you restart the lajs server.

Job Queue Control Utility

The Job Queue Control utility (jqcontrol) provides information about the Lawson Batch Server settings and performance. It allows you to change server parameters without running stoplajs and startlajs. For more information about the Job Queue Control utility, see the System Utilities Reference Guide.
