Infor Lawson Smart Reports Localization

Infor Lawson Smart Reports will apply the settings that you have defined in the Infor Lawson System Foundation environment using the langdef and locdef utilities. That is, the reports will be displayed automatically in the user's locale preferences without additional configuration. This includes text-direction formatting from left-to-right or right-to-left, decimal separator, and others. Perform these procedures before you set up a new locale to use.

• Language setup

  Use the Language Definition utility (langdef) to create languages. For more information, see "Defining Languages and Dialects" in the Lawson Administration: Translation guide.

• Locale setup

  Use the Locale Definition utility (locdef) to define the locales needed by the users. For more information, see "Defining a Locale" in the Lawson Administration: Translation guide.

• To enable users to distribute print files and reports to other users, set up distribution groups and distribution list groups. For more information, see Defining Distribution Groups and Defining a Distribution List Group.

• Assign the appropriate locale and distribution group to the users. This is done through the Add / Modify Environment Information screen in the Lawson Security Administrator. For more information, see the Resources and Security Administration Guide .

  • Execute rptgen to change the Language Definition option. For more information, refer to the System Utilities Reference Guide
