Lawson Environment Access

You can access the Lawson Environment and Environment programs in the following ways through the Lawson Interface Desktop (LID).

• Command line (UNIX and Windows only)

• Menus

• Form transfer

Some Lawson Environment utilities are available only through the command line, while others are available both through the command line and through a menu or form transfer. If you are accessing a UNIX or Windows server, you can access a command line through the Lawson Interface Desktop. If you are accessing an IBM i server, you can obtain similar functionality through Qshell. For more information on utilities, see the System Utilities Reference Guide.
