$LEVEL

$LEVEL LevelCharacter

The $LEVEL command arranges the print groups in a sequence by assigning a logical level to each group. Use $LEVEL to structure the report so automatic page overflow with header reprint occurs as needed.

LevelCharacter is a single letter from A to Z with A representing the lowest level. For example, headings should be at the lowest level (level A) to force them to print before detail lines (level B). Letters must be in consecutive order (A, B, C, and so on).

$LEVEL and $TOTOFGRP are mutually exclusive in a group definition. You can use one or the other.

You cannot use the $LEVEL command in the definition of $STDHDR or $STDFTR groups.
