To define rules for a state

  1. In the State column, select the state you want to define rules for.

    If the file has subtypes, an intermediate form that displays the subtypes appears.

    • Select Global to define rules for the file

      - or -

    • Select the subtype you want to define rules for

  2. Press Define (F6) or the right arrow key to move to the Rules column.
  3. Define the state rules.
  4. Press OK to return to the State And Event Definition form.
