Changing a Report Format Size
You can increase or decrease the number of lines in a report format and the size of the report format window in several ways.
Press | To |
---|---|
Insert (F8) | Insert a blank line above the cursor, if there are blank lines at the bottom of the report format. Inserting a blank line does not increase the number of lines in, nor the size of, the report format window. |
Shift+Insert (F8) |
Increase the number of lines in the report format by one. Increasing the number of lines does not increase the size of the report format window. You can also increase the number of lines by pressing Edit (F4) and choosing Grow Window. |
Ctrl +↓ |
Increase the size of the report format window and the number of lines in the report format by one. Note: If the size of the window does not match the number of lines
in the report format, pressing Ctrl
+↓ first increases the window
size to match the number of lines in the report format. Subsequent
presses of Ctrl
+↓ increase the number of lines in the report format
and the window size.
For example, if the number of lines for a report format is 10 but the window only displays 8 of those lines, Ctrl +↓ first increases the window size to 9 lines, then 10 lines. If pressed again, Ctrl +↓increases the format and window size to 11 lines. |
Delete (F9) | Delete the line that the cursor is on. All other lines move up one and a blank line is added to the bottom of the report format. The size of the window is not affected. |
Shift+Delete (F9) |
Decrease the number of lines in the window and shrink the window by one line if there is a blank line at the bottom of the report format. You can also shrink the window by pressing Edit (F4) and choosing Shrink Window. |
Ctrl+Delete (F9) |
Decrease the size of the window (collapses the window) and the number of lines in the report format by the number of consecutive blank lines at the bottom of the report format. You can also collapse the window by pressing Edit (F4) and choosing Collapse Window. |
