File Sizes
The Lawson System Foundation supports three relational database types for Windows servers: Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. Because the database servers for Oracle need to know the expected size of a file to assign segments of disk as a file needs them, you need to define the initial size of each file and the increment by which to increase the file size each time a segment is full. Because the number of segments the server can assign to a single file is limited, the size of each segment times the number of segments needs to be sufficient for the size of the file.
For the procedure for defining file sizes, see Defining File Size.
