Report Headers
You can define a report header as part of the top level format, or you can give a report header its own format. A report header that has its own format is called a standard header.
Although a header defined in the top level format can be only two lines, the number of lines in a standard header is not limited. Headers can include the date and time you run the report, page numbers, the program code, the program name, and any parameter fields defined for the report. Report headers print at the top of each page.
You do not have to paint the same report header repeatedly. You can define up to nine global report headers for a product line. Rather than painting the same report header each time you paint a new report, you can paint the header as a global report header and select it as your report header. For more information, see Defining or Deleting a Global Report Header.
