System Requirements

Note: Information about supported versions of products is included in this document as a convenience. Because product support might have changed since this document was published, you will find the majority of product support information in the Infor Software Compatibility Matrix for Infor Lawson Products document available on Infor Concierge.

The following software and hardware requirements must be met before you install this product.

If you are installing Infor Lawson System Foundation in a horizontally-scaled configuration, see the Horizontal Scaling Installation Guide for additional requirements.

Note: To work with Infor Lawson, third-party products must be installed in directories without spaces in their names. Many Windows third-party products install by default in C:\Program Files. When installing Windows products, ensure that you choose an install directory with a name that does not contain spaces.

Infor Lawson Server Requirements: Windows

Refer to the published Infor Lawson Compatibility Matrix for the currently certified Microsoft Windows Server operating system versions.

The Infor Lawson system, the web server/application server, and the installation tools use this program.

Use the product specific to your operating system.

Infor Lawson requires 64-bit Java. See Verify Java SDK requirements.

Note: If you plan to use Infor Process Automation with the Infor Lawson System Foundation server, the Java version must be the same on Infor Landmark Technology and Infor Lawson System Foundation.
Perl

Perl

See the Compatibility Matrix on Infor Concierge for supported versions.

The Infor Lawson system and the installation tools use this program.

Binary ports of the Perl product are available from your preferred Perl download site.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package Use the version associated with your release of Microsoft Windows Microsoft downloads are available from its official website.

Note: Starting with IBM WAS ND 8.5.5 fix pack 18, fix packs are available for downloading on the product download page on Infor Concierge.

Infor Lawson requires the 64-bit version of WebSphere.

Note: When updating WebSphere with a fix pack be sure to include the update for the corresponding fix pack level of WebSphere Java or unpredictable results may occur.

These two separate downloads are co-requisites and need to be installed together.
Java Encryption Bouncy Castle for Java SDK (version available on Bouncy Castle web site)

Infor Lawson Security uses this program for encryption.

Note: Do not use Bouncy Castle versions 146 or 147 for 1.7.

This product is available for download from the Bouncy Castle website.

The database client for the RDBMS you use must be installed on the Infor Lawson server machine.

Note: Infor Lawson does not support the Oracle Instant Client

 Visual Cobol is available for download from Infor Concierge.

Infor Distributed Security Package (DSP) Requirements

Verify whether you need to upgrade your DSP version for use with the version of LSF you are installing.

The following table is provided as a convenience. For the most up-to-date information, consult the Infor Security readme file.

Provides a command line interface to the Infor Lawson system.

Used for initial system setup and verification.

IBM MQ is an optional message-oriented middleware component for customers licensed for Infor Process Automation.

IBM MQ can be installed on the Infor Lawson server or on a remote server. Infor Lawson supports 32-bit IBM MQ, which runs on a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows machine.

This product is bundled with Infor Lawson System Foundation and is available from Infor Concierge.

M3 System Requirements

These requirements apply only if your configuration includes the M3 Business Engine.
