Set system environment variables for the compiler

  1. Use the Windows System Properties dialog to set the following system environment variables:
    Environment variable Value
    %LAW_COBRTS_PATH%

    The path to the Cobol compiler.

    LAW_COBRTS_PATH = E:\MicroFocus\VisualCOBOL\bin64

    Note: The path name must not contain spaces.
    %PATH% Update the PATH variable to include %LAW_COBRTS_PATH%.
  2. Reboot the machine to ensure that environment variable changes take effect.
