Introduction to the Server-side Component Installation for the Infor System Console and Infor Lawson System Monitor
The server-side component is installed on the Infor Monitoring Server. This server is the application server where the .ear files needed by both the Infor System Console and the Infor Lawson System Mobile Monitor are deployed, and is a different server than the one for the Infor Lawson System Foundation.
As you proceed through the installation interview, you may not need to enter information in every section. Whether you need to enter information in a section depends on whether you are planning to use only the Infor Lawson System Mobile Monitor, and on whether you use all of the applications that the Infor System Console enables you to monitor. Help is available for each field.
If you are running the installation in the graphical user interface mode, you
can view field help by placing the cursor in the field and clicking Help. If a graphical user
interface form contains a Detail button, clicking that button will reveal additional fields.
In command line mode (available with the -c option), these
additional fields are always prompted for.
If you are using an RDBMS with the Infor System Console, be sure that it is set up before you begin the installation.
