Enabling (and disabling) logging

Note: You must enable logging before you perform a federation procedure. This ensures that any errors that might occur during the federation process are captured.

Log and trace files can become very large in a short time. Typically, you will want to disable logging and tracing after you know that the federation has processed as expected and re-enable for troubleshooting purposes.

Lawson delivers backup copies of the default SecurityLoggerConfiguration.xml which enable you to configure logging only one time and easily disable it when you do not want to use it while keeping your logging configuration intact for future use.
