"Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface"

There should only be one version of LSA installed in your system. The message might be related to LSA sec-api discrepancies in your Registry.

  1. Log into your computer as an Administrator> Start> Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs.

  2. From the list, select the version of LSA that you want to remove, then click Uninstall.

If you are unable to uninstall the selected version, you must manually remove all Sec-Api.dll entries in your Registry using the Registry Editor.

    1. To open the Registry Editor, click Start> Run..., then specify regedit.exe in the field.

    2. Click on the Computer icon and press Ctrl+F.

    3. Specify Sec-Api.dll in the field, then click Find Next.

    4. Delete entries containing Sec-Api.dll, and then press F3 to find the next occurrence.

When all occurrences of Sec-Api.dll have been removed from your Registry, you can continue installing or uninstalling LSA using Add/Remove Programs.

      Caution:
The Registry Editor is a powerful tool and misusing it can render your system unstable or even inoperable.

Work with your internal IT department when making any changes to regedit.
