What Is Internet Object Services?

Internet Object Services (IOS) is the layer of the Environment that provides many important services to the Lawson system. IOS is made up of components (services, servlets, and CGI programs) that perform a wide variety of tasks.

IOS can be thought of as supporting Lawson's web-tier products. As such, it touches all aspects of Lawson, in particular, Lawson Portal, Self-Service applications and other web-based components and applications.
