Running Security Reports

After a report definition has been created, running the report is the same in all cases. This procedure explains how to run a report.

This document uses the term "generated" report to refer to a report that has been run, as opposed to a report definition file. Report output files are stored in LAWDIR/system/lsreports/owner_reportname.pdf or .htm

where owner is the name of the person who most recently edited the report definition

and where reportname is the name of the report definition file.

Before you perform this procedure, the report you want to run must already be defined.

If you need to define a report, perform a search to locate the instructions for defining the type of report you want to run.

Running a security report

  1. From the Report Maintenance console, select the report definition that you want to run.
  2. Click Run Report.
  3. At the prompt for output type(s), select PDF, HTML or both (to produce both PDF and HTML output simultaneously) and then click OK.

    The report will run in background and will appear on the Report Maintenance console.
