Locating the user

  1. From the Lawson Security Administrator main screen, click User Management and then choose User Maintenance.

You will be at the screen for creating a basic query.

  2. To perform a basic query, type the name of the user in the format Last Name, First Name. You can type as little information as necessary to locate the user.

For example, if the user's last name is Henderson and you know that only a few Hendersons appear in your LDAP directory, you can type "Hen*" (wildcard search) to locate the user.

If you know a name results list will be too long to be useful, or, if you need to locate the user through other attributes than name, you can perform an advanced query.

  3. Click Find Now.

The user (or a list or users) appears in the bottom pane of the screen.

If your results list is long, you can click Hide Query to close the query dialog box and fill the entire screen with the results list.

If your query did not return the correct user or if it returned so many users that the list is not useful, you can click Advanced to use other attributes to locate the user or to narrow the results.

  4. Right-click the user to make changes to the entry.

A menu with the following options appears:

    • Edit RM Information: This option is for updating the user entry.

    • Manage Identities: This option lets you change identity information (including password) for the user.

    • Edit Lawson Environment Information. This option lets you change Environment group information.

    • Delete User: Delete the user and all its identities.
