Verifying and Installing Schema Editor

Schema Editor is installed with the Lawson Security and Resource Management Administrator tools only if you have explicitly requested this by performing a custom installation. This procedure describes how to check if Schema Editor is installed and add it if necessary. If Schema Editor is installed, an icon for it should appear on your desktop.

To verify if Schema Editor is installed and install it if it is not

  1. If Schema Editor is installed, it should be available for selection from the Start menu / Programs or from an icon on your desktop if the “create desktop” option was selected.

If Schema Editor is already installed, you can use it to perform any procedures in this appendix. You do not need to perform any additional steps in this procedure.

If Schema Editor is not already installed, continue with the rest of the steps in this procedure.

  2. From the Control Panel, select Add / Delete programs and then select Lawson Security.
  3. At the Install Shield Welcome dialog box, select next.
  4. At the next dialog box, select Modify.
  5. At the next dialog box, Schema Editor should be de-selected. Click on it to select it and then click Next.
  6. Click through the rest of the prompts to install Schema Editor. If you want to be able to launch it from your desktop, be sure to select the “create desktop” option.
