The OS User and the ONLINE Privileged Identity: Additional Details

Following are some additional details about the operating system user and the ONLINE privileged identity.

Requirements for the OS user

The only requirement for the OS user that is linked with the ONLINE privileged identity is that it cannot be the users "lawson" or "lawenv." The user does not need to be an administrator nor have any system access rights.

The OS user must already exist on the system when you run the loadusers command; the user name is passed as a parameter.

The ONLINE identity

The structure of privileged identities in LDAP requires a password. Because of this, the loadusers utility populates a password for the identity. However, this identity is never referenced by the Lawson system and there is no reason why you would ever need to change it.
