Accounting Department tasks

The Accounting Department workers use Infor Lawson to perform the following tasks:

• Check in and verify invoices

• Pay invoices

• Run reports

Information Technology (IT) Tasks

The IT staff performs the following tasks related to Infor Lawson:

• Perform system maintenance tasks, such as backups, database reorganization, patch installations and so on.

• Add new users to the system and update user information as needed.

• Write and update security rules as policies change: Security Administrator

• Administer Lawson Portal

• Modify and integrate Infor Lawson code:

  • Write system automation scripts

  • Make API calls to application data for use in customized reports and other applications

  • Customize as needed to run Infor Lawson with third-party products

Other departments, like Human Resources and Payroll, are part of the Operations Division, but, because these groups currently do not use Infor Lawson products, we will not cover them in this section.
