Install Lawson Portal on the web server

Note: This release of Lawson Portal is compatible with a new type of help called Responsive WebHelp. When you install Lawson Portal, you can select Responsive Web Help for your users. Users can access Responsive Web Help through the Infor public website docs.infor.com.
  1. On the Installation Packages window, select Lawson Portal Web Server Files.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select Install a new Portal and specify a new instance name

    We recommend that you include both the Infor Lawson server machine name and environment name to distinguish between Lawson Portal instances. For example, specify Server1_lsfprod1.

  4. Click Next.
  5. In the The document root directory field, locate the document root directory defined in your web server configuration.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select an option in the Update URL Endpoint? field:
    • Yes: Modify the online help URL.
    • No: You can use the provided URL to access the Infor public website. This is the default option.

    To retrieve the default URL, click the Help button to access the Help Text dialog box in the Infor Lawson Applications Online Documentation window of the Lawson Portal installer.

  8. Click Next.
  9. Verify the installation locations in the Installation Summary.
    To change the directory name for the Lawson Portal web data, click Previous.
  10. Click Install.
  11. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
