Run the portalconfig.xml analysis tool

Lawson Portal delivers a tool that determines if your portalconfig.xml has errors that need to be corrected. These errors can be in the form of incorrectly formatted XML in nodes that have been customized or the existence of nodes that are no longer needed in the configuration file.

  1. Log in to Lawson Portal as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Custom Content Tools > Migrate Custom Content .
  3. Click Analyze > portalconfig.xml .
  4. Review the analysis results.
    The tool tells you if any action is needed. For example, if you receive a message that a particular node needs attention, open Lawson/portal/portalconfig.xml for updating, make the changes needed and then save the file.
  5. Rerun the portalconfig.xml analysis until no errors exist.
