Navigation and user interface

This section provides a quick tour on Lawson Portal user interface and brief description of each functions.

Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le) toolbar

Your user name appears in the far right corner of the main toolbar. To access quick links and log out from Infor OS Portal (or Infor Ming.le), click the Open menu icon beside your name.

Shortcuts toolbar

This toolbar contains links to your selected favorites and bookmarks. More information about these functions is in the later sections.

User toolbar

This toolbar contains role-defined user options and help links to configure the user interface.

Function Description
Lawson Home You can use this option to access the Lawson Administration Home page.
Help You can use this option to access the About page, and the Hotkeys page. The access to the Field Help, Form Help and Form Wizard are displayed when you are in Form view.
Preferences You can use this option to access the Content page, User Options page, and Change Password page.
Search field You can use this option to enter a keyword to perform a search or go to a URL.
Search scope option You can use this option to switch between Lawson Applications or Bookmarks, and use the selected scope to perform searches for the keyword entered in the search field.

Form toolbar

This toolbar contains buttons that vary depending on your action. For example, when viewing a form, the form toolbar shows buttons for basic form actions such as Add, Inquire, and Delete.

The Related Forms drop down shows a list of forms or links related to the form currently in view.

Form field

The Form field section shows fields that are available in the form currently in view.

Contextual Application

The Contextual Application section contains small applications where the content related to the form being viewed is displayed.
