Modifying the telnet setting

Perform this procedure if you are using IBM AIX. If you do not modify the telnet setting in the inetd.conf file, the Infor Lawson Interface Desktop will not work properly in graphical user interface mode.

Modify the telnet setting in inetd.conf

  1. Use a text editor to open the /etc/inetd.conf file.
  2. Modify the line for the telnet service to remove the -a option. The line should be similar to the following: 
    telnet     stream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/telnetd   telnetd
  3. Save and close the file.
