Starting an SSL Connection to a Windows Server

Perform this procedure to install and include the Infor Lawson System Foundation details in the stunnel configuration file.

  1. Download the stunnel installer, stunnel-4.56-installer.exe, from the stunnel web site.

  2. Install stunnel on the Windows server.
  3. During installation, follow the instructions and fill out the necessary information in the server certificate section.
  4. Review the details and close the installation file.
  5. Access the stunnel directory.
  6. Using a text editor, open the stunnel.conf file and include the following Infor Lawson System Foundation details:

    [LAWSON]
accept = 0.0.0.0:<LID SSL PORT> (any free port acceptable by stunnel)
connect = <server IP address>:<LSF LID PORT>
  7. Save and close the file.
  8. Start the stunnel application by clicking the "stunnel 4.56 on Win32" icon.

    You may now start using the SSL Connection to NT Server option of LID.
