This document provides the guidelines and requirements for configuring the database that will be used for the system.

You may find it helpful to reference the Lawson on OS/390 Installation Experiences Redbook written by IBM. This manual provides an overview of IBM installation experiences with the Lawson applications using OS/390 as the data server. The Redbook contains an introduction to the architecture of the Lawson applications with OS/390, a description of the customization required for using Lawson with OS/390, and guidelines for setting up and administering IBM DB2 for OS/390 with Lawson products. Some recommendations in the Redbook are outdated. For any differences between what is stated in this document and in the Redbook, follow what you read here.
